GOOD FRIDAY
“The Crown of Thorns
and the Nails”

As the crowd looked on, the Roman guards
prepared Jesus for his crucifixion.

He was beaten and whipped,
a crown of thorns was placed upon his head,
and he was nailed to the cross; symbols of the violence and the suffering
Jesus faced at the hands of his accusers.

The temple of God,
the Christ, had been broken in two
so that we may be made whole.
